KerMac recently manufactured and supplied the toilet cubicles, wall linings and vanities at 74 Cryers Road, East Tamaki in a new building development. KerMac efficiently utilised a combination of materials to ensure durability and cost-effectiveness using the systems installed.
The toilet cubicles were manufactured in KerMac's K-Standard system using 18mm Melteca LPL on MR core which is a very cost-effective but still durable option. This system's design is finished with aluminium clashed edgings, a powder-coated aluminium pedestal and stainless steel locks, coat hooks and fasteners.
Compact Laminate was better suited for use in the vanities which were made in 13mm Laminex compact laminate and have no issues with the expected water exposure over its lifespan. The Wall Linings are in KerMac's 6mm compact laminate as shown in the photos above with the other systems.
Compact Laminate is impressively strong, damage resistant and waterproof. With a 10 year guarantee on panel integrity for both 13mm and 6mm compact laminate, it is perfect for use in vanities and wall linings. It also provides easy to clean and hygienic surfaces as the Compact Laminate is certified antimicrobial to JIS Z 2801:2001 and proven to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi on the surface up to 99% within 24 hours. This contributes protection against a wide range of bacteria, mould and fungi throughout the lifetime of the panel.
KerMac provides the option of either pre-assembled kit sets which can be easily self-installed for projects outside of the Auckland region or full installation as usual (excluding wall linings) within the Auckland region.
