Keep Insects at Bay with Juralco's Retractable Screens

Kiwis love to blur the line between indoor and outdoor living. Opening doors on warmer days not only lets in cool air, but is also a way to open up a home — especially when living in a small space. Unfortunately, in warm weather bugs multiply and invade homes, making opening doors problematic.

Modern pleated insect screens are great for protection from bugs and flies, whilst allowing air to flow through naturally and keeping views unobstructed. Unlike the more traditional insect screens, Juralco's pleated screens have been developed to handle wider doorways, so there are no limitations on screening multiple door combinations up to 9.3m wide. Venette pleated insect screens combine a unique pleated polyester mesh with Kevlar guide wires, for a modern unobtrusive screen which is not limited by the size of the aluminium frames it is enclosed in.

The most popular screens for kitchen windows are the rollaway, retractable insect screens; where the fly screen is simply pulled down and locked in place, then discreetly retracted into a matching cassette when not needed. Other options include the traditional aluminium framed sliding or hinged insect screens and easy-to-use magnetic screens.

With a wide range of options to suit different spaces, Juralco's insect screens are an effective way of opening homes to enjoy the weather, without having to experience uninvited guests.
