Long term cladding performance across all building types is critical. James Hardie have CodeMark Certification for Linea Weatherboard, so what does this offer for the specifier and builder?
CodeMark is a voluntary product certification scheme that provides an easily-understood and robust way to show a building product meets the requirements of the New Zealand Building Code.
CodeMark is an unchallengeable form of product assurance. Building consent authorities must accept a product certificate as evidence of compliance with the Building Code providing the product is specified and installed within scope.
Linea Weatherboard has been on the New Zealand market for over 16 years, and obtained CodeMark certification in 2010. Testing covers Linea Weatherboard for cavity and direct fix construction, where designers may be extending a building and need to match the existing cladding, or on buildings with a risk matrix below 12. Linea Weatherboard is also appraised by BRANZ, and carries a 25 year product warranty, one of the longest for any weatherboard on the New Zealand market.
James Hardie provides CAD files, technical specification manuals, interactive installation details, and comprehensive on-site training so designers can specify with confidence. See Interactive Installation Details here.
