Trespa Meteon panels contain up to 70% wood-based fibres most of which originate from sustainable forests. FSC and PEFC certifications are a clear way for Trespa to show its commitment to forest conservation and its support of better forest management. Trespa offers a genuine sincere approach to sustainable matters. Nature is at the core of it all.
Accreditation
Furthermore Trespa has also achieved the BREEAM and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) environmental accreditations. BREEAM is the world’s foremost environmental assessment method and rating system for buildings. The LEED accreditation is from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). This makes Trespa Meteon ideal for green buildings as it meets the world's highest standards for environmental accreditation.
Life Cycle Assessment
Trespa strongly believes that any change should start with the company itself. It has recently undertaken a complete life cycle assessment of its manufacturing process and developed its own simple policy, "Do No Harm, Do Good, Do Better". Currently Trespa is focusing on implementing the first sustainability policy "Do No Harm" and has set the target of reducing Trespa energy use by 3% and generating 10% less waste than the previous year.
Keeping with this natural theme Trespa has recently introduced a new matt finish which offers a more organic and physical experience in terms of touch and look. In addition, Trespa has increased the Trespa Meteon Naturals and Wood Decors range to extend its portfolio of more natural-feeling products all of which share the durability found in all Trespa products.
