There has been a need for a Window Flashing Tape in the market that works well in all climates and that will eliminate unnecessary, time consuming processes such as using additional layering, added primer or a heat gun to ensure adequate sealing around window frames. TCL Hunt has found a solution to the problem and has introduced the ultimate all weather tape: DriStud Cool Window Flashing Tape.
DriStud Cool Window Flashing Tape does not contain asphalt and is specifically designed to be installed in temperatures as low as -6°C, and can even be applied to damp surfaces with maximum adhesion. This makes it ideal for applications in the central North Island and the South Island where it can get quite chilly.
With its modified butyl adhesive and high conformable film barrier, DriStud Cool Window Flashing Tape guarantees reliable performance in even severe weather conditions, easily conforming to OSB anomalies and transitions and assisting in the reduction of undesirable water movement. It offers a service temperature range from -25°C to 80°C.
DriStud Cool Window Flashing Tape provides unparalleled protection against water infiltration and decreases time and expenses due to its versatile temperament.
Conventional bituminous window flashing tapes are up to 1000μm thick, whereas DriStud Cool Window Flashing Tape is 381μm thick. This allows the tape to conform easily to most applications within restricted spaces or where fitting tolerance is limited.
