The newly completed Datacom building in Auckland's Wynyard Quarter has open-plan workspaces with wireless capability throughout, allowing Datacom 'rovers' to move freely around the building to form collaborative work groups.
To assist with the open plan boardroom layout, CS For Doors supplied a 3m high x 4m wide whiteboard door designed to slide completely away into the cavity pocket when not in use. The top-hung door was manufactured as a single 3-lite CS NewYorker, with white powder coated frame and three vertical whiteboard panels. The CL400 Magnetic handle was also powder coated white to match the door. When fully extended, the door can be fixed in place using the NewYorker drop bolt in the front stile.
The door slides back into a CS Ultimate cavity pocket, suitable for 140mm framing. It has custom split jambs, no closing jamb and full height detail. The pocket also has acoustic batts fitted for added sound insulation. Due to site access restrictions, the track had to be supplied in two pieces and joined on site. The door was also assembled on site.
