Bracing Cavity Slider Used for Bracing Wall in Renovation

This home in Titirangi was completely modernised and renovated and a self contained unit was added underneath the existing home.

For the entrance to the kitchen area, a 2m high x 1.2m wide CS BraceWall Cavity Slider was used. This product can be used in walls where wall bracing is required and once installed and lined, the finished appearance is the same as that of a regular cavity slider. This unit was paired with a clear glass door, enabling the opening to be closed off for warmth and privacy without blocking light or sight lines. The addition of SofStop ensures the door is closed gently and quietly.

CS BraceWall is for areas where wall bracing is needed in conjunction with a cavity slider. This unit provides wall bracing in buildings within the scope of NZ 3604. The design complies with the P21 test for calculating bracing units in New Zealand. The solution enables all the standard benefits of the CS CavitySliders range. Once installed and lined, the finished appearance is the same as that of a regular cavity slider.

A calculator is available on CS For Doors website to work out how many bracing units can be achieved.
