CS For Doors provided an elegant space saving solution for Avery Team Architecture in the design of Saltus – a 44-unit block within Stonefields in Auckland.  The bedrooms feature Bi-Parting CS AluSealed cavity sliders. These modern, durable commercial style cavity sliders come complete with pre-finished aluminium jambs, which match the high quality fittings throughout the rest of the apartment and provide a finish to the jambs that is tougher than paint.

The aluminium section is extremely strong, making the CS AluSealed a great choice for commercial applications and architectural designs or where an over-height door solution is required.  The jambs can be pre-finished in a range of colours, either anodised or powder coated.  Using bi-parting doors enables the area to be opened right up during the day, making the space seem lighter and bigger. 

The cavities in the Saltus apartments were fitted with CS NewYorker door leaves – pre-finished (anodised or powder coated) aluminium framed doors that can be glazed using a wide range of materials, with glass being the most popular.  New resin-based glazing materials are also becoming popular as they have built-in patterns or materials to liven up a room.

Corner meeting cavity sliders have also been used, creating a bedroom or study space in the corner of a larger room.  The doors can be increased to full height with CS Full-Height detail to give the appearance of the ceiling running continuously from one room to another, creating a more spacious feel when the doors are open.  Close the doors to create privacy or to save on heating and cooling costs.
