CS For Doors has been manufacturing specialised door products since 1986, with features well suited to the tough environment that schools create. They have worked with architects on a number of projects recently with the brief to create flexibility in school learning spaces. With a range of sliding door and track options available, CS can tailor a solution to meet specific requirements.
Viscount School in Mangere were seeking an oversized door solution to separate two spaces within their Art and Drama department. For this massive opening CS manufactured two 2700mm high by 2900mm wide CS AluTec doors in a CS OvertakingDoors cavity slider system.
CS OvertakingDoors units were also supplied to Sylvia Park School in Auckland. This time, NewYorker doors were fitted with whiteboard infill, allowing the doors to be used as a whiteboard when closed.
The East Ringwood campus of Tintern School in Melbourne needed to be able to open up and close off large areas easily. Glazed NewYorker door leaves were provided as a stable solution that allowed for bi-parting cavity sliders to meet a single cavity slider in a T-configuration. This design helps to create space and flow between classrooms and corridors when required.
