High interest in the new, made-for-New Zealand Klima Series of uPVC windows and doors was shown by designers attending the recent NZ Institute of Architects biennial conference, at the Viaduct Events Centre, in Auckland.
A Klima demonstration module was on display at the 'In Situ 2017' gathering and was kept busy by architects, especially attendees from the colder southern parts of New Zealand, who were attracted by the product's thermal efficiency and energy rating.
Klima was recently launched by APL Window Solutions, and the series is available through Altherm, First and Vantage window manufacturers.
The range is based on the premium quality 76 Series by Kommerling, the northern hemisphere market leader, with design adaptations made by APL to suit New Zealand conditions and installation practices.
The new range has outstanding thermal efficiency. When used with low-E double glazing, it is rated to a maximum 6 energy stars under WEERS (Window Energy Efficiency Rating System).
APL specifier services representative, David Waters, who attended the conference, said that designers were encouraged to know that the large scale resources of APL Window Solutions were now aligned with a uPVC system which could be specified with a high level of confidence.
