The new smoke and heat ventilation hatch has recently completed and passed all relevant testing to meet AS 2665 and AS 2427 and along with other relevant testing the appraisal documents should be completed by the end of this year.

Concept of the hatch evolved from fire service and industry concerns with smoke and heat release through translucent panels. Through this Alsynite became involved and continues to actively liaises with fire industry professionals.

The Emergency Ventilation Hatch has already been designed and installed in a number of buildings.
