Dec-K-ing (PVC) Waterproofing Membrane
Description

Viking Dec-K-ing is a hard-wearing, aesthetic waterproofing membrane, providing the ultimate underfoot finish and waterproofing for decks above living areas. Viking Dec-K-ing is a PVC membrane reinforced with a polyester mesh scrim inherent in the sheet to provide latitudinal strength and puncture resistance.

Originally designed in the 1980s for the marine industry (boat decks), its robust nature and heat-weldable seam technology deemed it an attractive option for the construction sector to the point that it is now installed on homes and buildings all over the world.

Despite Dec-k-ing being installed mostly in residential situations, it is increasingly being specified for multi-level apartment complexes; retirement and nursing villages and institutional facilities such as schools, requiring underfoot grip in areas such as ramps and walkways.

When the seasons change, building structures and deck substrates (especially plywood) tend to contract and expand. This movement has caused splitting in other membrane types. This is avoided due to Viking Dec-K-ing's flexibility; its inherent reinforcing mesh scrim and heat-weldable seam technology.

It has been successfully proven in New Zealand over the last 20 years and is the perfect all-in-one waterproofing; aesthetic and grippy membrane solution for decks and walkways.
