The StoStucco Plaster System incorporates a European lath made from a stainless steel welded wire mesh with an absorbent sheet of perforated chip paper, and fixed over timber battens to form a cavity and allowing for a dry zone between the interior and exterior claddings. The stainless steel lath can be moulded to suit the shape and curvature in any building.
The StoStucco System consists of a Lightweight mineral basecoat which sits around the stainless steel lath, providing a thick solid plaster base. uPVC flashings lock into the joinery providing a neat junction ready for a weathertight sealant. As additional reinforcement, StoArmat plus Stomesh reinforcement plaster is applied over the basecoat. StoArmat is a cement-free, ready-to-use, flexible plaster, providing maximum crack and shock resistance of six times higher then that of cement based products. The Glass fibre mesh is an alkali-resistant reinforcing mesh with total uniform force absorption and it reliably dissipates tensile and shear stress. The façade is finished with interlocking components: Stolit coloured finishing render plus a StoCoating of choice.
Installations are carried out by a Sto Registered Licensed Building Practitioner with the added protection of a 15 or 20 year Sto System Warranty and 5 year renewable Workmanship Warranty plus Maintenance Schedule.
The StoStucco Plaster Cavity System has been appraised as an external wall cladding system for buildings within the following scope:
For weathertightness and structural wind loading when used on buildings subject to specific design up to a differential design ultimate limit state (ULS) wind pressure of 2500 Pa.
Must only be installed on vertical surfaces except for tops of parapets, sills and balustrades. The system is appraised for use with aluminium window and door joinery that is installed with vertical jambs and horizontal heads and sills.
The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:
Note: The StoStucco Plaster Cavity System meets the performance requirements of NZBC Clause B2.3.1 (b), 15 years for the cavity system and plaster finish, and the performance requirements of NZBC Clause B2.3.1 (c), 5 years for the exterior paint system.
The StoStucco Plaster Cavity System is expected to have a serviceable life of at least 30 years provided the system is maintained in accordance with this Appraisal, and the lath, fixings and plaster are continuously protected by a weathertight coating and remain dry in service.
Sto supply facade insulation systems and manufacture high-quality exterior and interior render systems and coatings worldwide.
