The Prolam Specifier is an efficient and reliable tool for designing structural timber elements. It covers a wide range of most common structural members, including:

• Lintels in different configurations such as lintels supporting girder trusses, ridge beams, attic trusses, and cantilever lintels for corner windows
• Roof framing members such as ridge beams, rafters, and verandah beams
• Floor Framing members such as deck bearers, floor beams, deck Joists and floor joists
• Bracing and non-bracing posts for decks, carports, and verandahs

The specifier allows users to effortlessly design members with spans and loaded dimensions beyond the scope of NZS3604. Additionally, users can adjust different parameters affecting the design of the members to ensure specified members match the exact project parameters and pick the most efficient options.

The bracing post calculators make it possible to create stand-alone or attached decks, carports, and verandahs without needing additional means of bracing required by NZS3604 which could negatively affect the project's aesthetic and function
