Description

Decktec is a joist protector and automatic deck spacing system all-in-one. Made from 100% recycled material, Decktec's proprietary decking strips provide long-term protection to the joists whilst at the same time enhancing the performance of the decking boards by elevating them off the wet joists eliminating moisture transfer and assisting ventilation.

Decktec reduces labour time by over 50%, provides perfect alignment every time, mitigates the risk of decking board warpage and allows the builders to spread out and start laying boards from any position, even when having to build around objects such as spas, pools, and trees, all with one fast and easy set-out.

Scope of Use

Decktec is suitable for use on timber or steel joists up to 50mm wide and with decking board profiles either 90mm or 140mm wide.

Made from 100% recycled polypropylene, the strips are UV stabilised and designed for outdoor use on most decking structures.

Limitations on Use

Some species of timber that require water-borne preservatives can swell considerably at the time of treatment.

Most notably, radiata pine can experience extreme width growth due to the increased moisture content from the treatment and may require a certain seasoning time to allow the board to return to its original machined width before it can be used on Decktec.
