Scope of Use
  • JSC has worked on specifically developing a product to cater to the New Zealand market that is suitable for the unique and varied climatic conditions. JSC Coda® Exterior Wood Oil is perfect for a variety of interior and exterior applications such as timber cladding, timber soffits, timber joinery, interior panelling, pergolas & decorative screens, fences, *decking. *Coating for decking only recommended in our clear coating option.
  • JSC timber boards will be factory coated using the JSC factory coating system. This involves coating a board/weatherboards under controlled conditions using our vacuum coating technology. Vacuum coating ensures 100% coverage over the entire surface area of any profile in one pass. Factory coated product is delivered on-site dry, well stacked, and ready for installation.
  • 15 colours to choose from with high-quality pigments & UV inhibitors. A clear coating option is available that is free of colour pigments for applications where the raw beauty of the timber is the key requirement.
Limitations on Use
  • This product is mainly used on exterior applications but can be used for many interior applications too
  • Drying times and coverage rates may vary due to a variety of factors such as seasonal temperature, the timber porosity, moisture content (below 18% required), the timber type, and previous coats applied
  • Avoid applying excess product to the surface as it will not dry. To deliver the optimum quantity, JSC recommend a trial application on offcuts prior to undertaking the actual coating
  • Unlike paints, it is difficult to predict precisely how the coating will look once applied, as the appearance of stain coatings is influenced by the finish, grain, and colour of chosen timber species. Due to timber being a natural product, the timber specie and grain varies as will the finished product
Other Performance Attributes
  • Longer lasting
  • Fast drying
  • Weather resistant - Protection from UV and weather.
  • Reduced maintenance due to longer gaps between maintenance coats
