Description

The Residential Series ThermalHEART® bi-fold system is bottom rolling with an in-frame track for optimum panel support. Rated to 2.2m high in Extra High wind zones. For higher doors consider using Metro Series ThermalHEART®. The bi-fold window system uses the bi-fold door system with a smaller stile and top and bottom panel rail.

  • A slender door stile and rail option is available to minimise visual intrusion
  • Overlights and sidelights possible
  • Door panels lap over frame for superior aesthetics, air tightness, weather tightness, security and thermal performance
  • Thermal efficiency achieved through thermal breaks in aluminium profiles and controlled air spaces via panel lap
  • Recommended maximum door height 2200mm. For larger sizes consider using Metro Series ThermalHEART®
  • Single panel access door can be used in conjunction with bi-fold doors
  • The bi-fold window system uses the bi-fold door system with a smaller stile and top and bottom panel rail
Scope of Use
  • Suitable for broad residential use
  • Maximise views and ventilation but need to be monitored if windy conditions occur
  • Available in defined maximum sizes

Limitations on Use
  • Maximum 2200mm high doors in Extra High wind zones — for larger sizes consider using Metro Series ThermalHEART®
  • Careful consideration of bi-fold use is required when projecting on to decks or pedestrian areas
  • In closed position bi-fold window and door stiles can impact views
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Specification for Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
  • Conforms to all relevant NZ Building Code clauses
In-Service History
  • Redesigned and relaunched in 2022 (previous version 2011)
  • New range rolling out nationally; previous version in use in residential projects throughout New Zealand by homeowners, builders, Group home builders and specifiers
Other Performance Attributes
  • Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
  • Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
  • A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
