Logicwall Permanent Formwork System
Description

Logicwall is a permanent formwork system designed for use in multi-residential buildings such as apartments, terraced houses, retirement villages, and more. Logicwall consists of a steel stud frame with CSR fibre cement sheets bonded to each side of the studs, creating a panel that can be hand installed onsite and core-filled with concrete. Logicwall is available in thicknesses of 120mm, 150mm, 162mm, 200mm, and 262mm.

Key Features
  • Structure, fire and acoustic ratings achieved in the one system with no need to strap and line the walls — this generally creates a thinner wall overall
  • Speed of construction — the panels are hand installed making it faster than conventional concrete construction methods — this also reduces the need for a site crane
  • Shop drawn system
  • Significant waste reduction
  • Full supply and installation service supplied
Scope of Use

Logicwall is designed for use in multi-residential buildings such as apartments, terraced housing, retirement villages, motels and hotels.

Logicwall can be used to replace any concrete or masonry wall. However, the benefits are mostly realised when used in the following:

  • Intertenancy walls
  • Corridor walls
  • Lift and stair shafts
Limitations on Use
  • Logicwall is not a waterproof system, therefore, suitable waterproofing will be needed when using it as a retaining wall or exterior wall
  • It is also not a cladding system — requires acrylic render or rainscreen to comply with E2
  • Thermal capabilities do not meet code so additional insulation will be required when the Logicwall is used in an exterior wall
Statement of Building Code Compliance

If designed and installed in accordance with AFS technical literature Logicwall complies with the following provisions of the NZBC:

  • B2 Durability
  • C6 Structural Stability During Fire
  • G6 Airborne and Impact Sound
  • F2 Hazardous Building Materials
