At Vynco sustainability is a huge priority. A move away from virgin plastic is part of that mission.

Traditional plastics are made from oil — a fossil fuel that harms and carbonises the planet. And while some products need elements of virgin plastics, some don’t… and that’s where Vynco is determined to make change.

Bioplastics — made from renewable biomass sources such as vegetable fats and oils, corn starch, straw, wood chips and recycled food waste — are a game-changer. Post-consumer recycled plastics — or PCR — are made from ground-down plastics.

The Beach batten has elements of both. Just one of these saves 0.94kg in carbon dioxide — the weight of 100 kiwifruit!
