Under the current Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) scheme, architects and building designers can be held accountable over weathertightness detailing for a minimum period of ten years. Liability and personal responsibility is now a very real factor in architecture and building decision making.
Ulltraclad is designed with special attention towards the way air circulates behind the cladding, allowing it to breathe and eliminate unwanted rot. Ulltraclad won’t twist, warp, split or delaminate. Extruded from high-grade 6060 T5 alloy, it comes in 5.1 x 6.1m with the option of specialised dimensions on request.
It is available in a range of powder-coated colours and anodised finishes to suit all requirements, and as a pre-finished product, once installed there is no need to wait for painters to arrive. Time and cost efficient and maintenance free, the only requirement under warranty conditions is to wash the building once a year with a garden hose for urban areas, or twice for those living in a sea-spray zone.
Ullrich Ulltraclad is supported by BRANZ appraisals 454, 487 and 796, which covers direct and cavity fixes and vertical applications when used in accordance with the manufacturers details.
Accompanied by a 25-year warranty, it also meets a number of provisions of the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC). These include Clause B1 Structure, Clause B2 Durability, Clause E2 External Moisture and Clause F2 Hazardous Building Materials.
