Asona Ceiling + Wall Noise-Reduction Solution at Les Mills Britomart

To counteract reverberation and control the noise levels within this large concrete shell of a building, Asona’s Triton 75 Cloud Panels are used both as custom made inter-linked triangles suspended and weaved through the exposed services to dramatic effect, and included over-sized 1700mm x 1700mm panels.

Triton 75 is 75mm thick for maximum sound absorption (NRC1.00) and wrapped in white Sonatex used for its clean, sharp look and light reflective qualities. Specially made concealed hangers were developed and combined with the concealed framing system to meet with the architects aesthetic & functional requirements.

Atkar Au.diSlot was also used along the walls for further noise reduction. These perforated slot wall panels were sprayed in primary yellow and cool grey and had to navigate around difficult corners and encompass large public areas pulling the interior design together as a cohesive whole.

Because Asona manufacture their own product ranges here in New Zealand, a very fast turn around was achieved on this project, meeting both time and budget constraints.

The results speak for themselves as this is one gym you cannot fail to notice or be inspired to perform in.
