UBS have completed the fit-out of their workspace, located on level 17 of the PWC building, Auckland CBD.
Resene Construction Systems' Otsumigaki 'Otsu' Japanese inspired clay/lime plaster was applied to achieve a silky smooth, evocative tactility alongside a visual depth uncommon with traditional interior finishings. Visitors will not be able to resist touching the surface.
Otsumigaki means “polished and compressed“ in Japanese. The product is applied with a trowel in two tight coats and then polished with a Japanese Trowel and liquid Carnauba Wax. The polishing process compresses the lime and clay, creating a soft, smooth, even feel across the surface and a pearly lustre finish.
ROCKCOTE Otsumigaki can be used in interior high traffic areas in residential settings such as entrances, stairwells and halls.
ROCKCOTE Otsumigaki can be tinted to a wide variety of colours within the Resene Total Colour System. However, due to the individual artisan plasterer application techniques, it is neither possible nor desirable to achieve an exact replication of colour.
ROCKCOTE Otsumigaki can be used over a wide variety of commonly prepared substrates. It is not suitable for exteriors or wet areas.
