The Series 5000 cubicles have been installed in the toilet and shower area of the large secondary school's staffroom – accommodating 250 staffmembers – overlooking the Hauraki Gulf.
Simon Peek, Associate Principal and Property Manager at the school, says staff members commented that the restroom area "felt like something at a Koru Lounge" at the opening of the new facility, and this didn't surprise him. "The area looks really good, first class", he says, "and we know from experience it will keep doing so".
The 2600-student Bucklands Beach school has been installing a range of RESCO Compact Laminate products – including science laboratory walls and benches – since 2010. "The staff area is our most recent use (of RESCO), but it won’t be the last," says Peek, "because it doesn’t just have the looks, it also has the durability".
Peek says RESCO cubicles installed in a student toilet area three years ago "look like they did the day they were put in" despite their "very heavy" usage.
"In schools you are constantly fixing things and in big schools like this the daily maintenance requirement is even higher, but nothing’s broken in our RESCO cubicles." While graffiti is not a big issue at Macleans, Peek says he can vouch for the company’s claim that the products are graffiti-resistant.
RESCO product specialist Troy Henriques says their solid core Compact Laminate products are "the smart solution" for schools and any high use and abuse areas.
"In addition to being water, impact and graffiti resistant, all our panels contain Antibac, an innovative new bacteria-repelling compound," says Henriques.
Resco's Series 5000 cubicles are custom made for each job, are available in 28 stocked colours and another 20 in designer range, and offer a ten year guarantee on panel integrity and two year guarantee on hardware.
