The product’s moisture-resistant birch core glue-line and hardwearing HPL surface combine to create a low maintenance surface that meets the demands of residential and commercial interiors alike — all while providing an attractive end result.

The product’s hardwearing HPL faces and moisture-resistant glue-line make it a smart option for cabinetry in wet areas such as kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. And thanks to its combination of durability and aesthetics, it is also ideal for creating bespoke furniture and cabinetry for high traffic areas such as offices, schools, cafes and restaurants.

Hardwearing HPL surface

HPL Italia features a 0.9mm HPL laminate finish on both faces — much thicker than traditional melamines — resulting in a more hardwearing surface. 

Moisture-resistant core

HPL Italia features a multiply birch core with a marine bonded glueline to ensure excellent moisture resistance in kitchens and bathrooms.

Low maintenance and easy to clean

This low maintenance HPL surface is very easy to clean — simply use a mild soap solution and damp cloth. The multiply edge should be sealed by the joiner with hard wax oil, resulting in a durable, low maintenance surface.  

Design options

HPL Italia is available in eight colours plus two woodgrain finishes — all featuring the attractive birch ply edge grain. Panels are 2440 x 1200mm in size, and are available in two thicknesses: 19mm or 25mm.

History of use

HPL Italia has been used in projects across New Zealand for over 10 years, including for kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, and cabinetry and furniture in commercial office spaces and shop fit-outs.

Warranty and maintenance

HPL Italia is covered by the Plymasters Product Warranty 2023 for four years.
