Silent Rangehoods Ensure Comfortable Multi-Storey Living

Many rangehoods go underused due to their noisy nature and lack of performance, but Schweigen solves this issue by removing the motor from the rangehood and installing it outside the home, ensuring maximum performance and silent extraction in the kitchen. This silent extraction makes the rangehoods ideal for townhouses and apartments.

Thanks to European-inspired design, Schweigen silent rangehoods look great in any kitchen and feature the highly efficient, German-made IsoDrive motor. The remote mounting concept allows the motor to create a vacuum, using all its energy for extraction. This allows Schweigen rangehoods to remove large volumes of cooking steam, smoke, grease, and odours from the kitchen while protecting other appliances and home furnishings from grease build-up. Traditional rangehoods use an on-board motor to draw air up to the rangehood, then push the same air through ducting and against gravity to expel.

Schweigen’s patented solution uses a unique housing with an exclusive anti-water intrusion system that allows the fan and motor to be fixed to the roof, under the eave or to an external wall. There, the small amount of noise generated by the IsoDrive motor will blend into the atmosphere with the natural, ambient noise.

Schweigen rangehoods are also energy efficient. Traditional systems use around 190 watts or more to develop required suction, but the IsoDrive 650 motor runs on just 62 watts. Boasting a wide range of premium styles and designs, Schweigen has a silent rangehood to suit all kitchen needs. It takes just three simple steps to select the right rangehood.

Step 1: Choose the rangehood

Depending on the kitchen, select the style and size that are relative to the cooking area.

Step 2: Choose the IsoDrive motor

The motor selection depends on the level of suction required. This relates to the type of food cooked and the amount of actual cooking done. A rangehood with sufficient power will ensure that all steam, smoke, grease, and odours are removed from the kitchen.

Step 3: Choose where the IsoDrive motor will be mounted

Depending on the size of the motor chosen, the IsoDrive motors can be mounted on the roof, wall, or eave.

Schweigen silent rangehoods also feature:

  • NZ Sales and In-Home Service
  • Ducting kit included
  • 10-year motor warranty
