Formica and Melteca Reinvigorated with New Colour and Gloss Ranges

The Laminex Group Sales & Marketing Manager, Nicky Duggan, said it had introduced 32 new colours to the Formica range and added another 15 to Melteca. This brings the total number of colours available across the two brands to 154 and 86 respectively.

At the core of the range updates is Formica GlossPlus and Melteca Hi-Gloss Panels.

“High gloss surfaces are quickly becoming a design favourite in New Zealand and internationally, with their ability to create stunning interiors with a brilliant shine,” Nicky said.

“With the expansion of the two product ranges, designers and specifiers can recreate the latest interior looks in residential and commercial spaces without the premium price tags.”

Available in nine colours, Melteca Hi-Gloss Panels are suitable for a variety of applications across domestic and commercial projects, including cabinetry, doors, drawers, vertical panels and shop fittings. Formica GlossPlus comes in eight solid shades and 11 patterns. The high gloss, high pressure laminate is suitable for a variety of surface solutions. Both products are durable, easy to maintain and moisture resistant, and come with a seven year limited warranty. Nicky said the expanded colour ranges would inject new life into the Formica and Melteca brands.

“The new trend setting colour options bring a new dimension to Formica and Melteca colour palettes, embracing New Zealand’s emerging design trends and ensuring there is a surface to complement any interior design scheme.

“The heart of the range update is the introduction of a grey based palette which is relaxed and modern, while conveying a feeling of warmth. This includes the linen look Bliss Shitake and modern wood grains such as Slalom and Hotham Oak.

“We’re confident that there is something to suit everyone’s taste and will be watching with great interest to see how the products are creatively applied to domestic and commercial projects.”
