The Billi Sparkling system is a drinking water appliance which instantly delivers chilled, boiling and professional sparkling filtered water.

A Merquip customer was looking to install a Billi sparkling system in their staff kitchen. For this fit-out there was also the requirement for a separate sink mixer. To meet these requirements, Billi provides the Quadra Sparkling Plus unit. This model supplies the boiling, chilled and sparkling water from a single dispenser, but also supplies 50°C hot water to a Billi kitchen sink mixer.

There are two options available in the Sparkling Plus range: Plus 9 and Plus 15. These models come with a boiling and chilled dispenser and also a paddle sink mixer. The main difference between the two models is the recommended number of users, based on the model’s capacities.

On this project the customer opted for the Billi Quadra Sparkling Plus 9 unit with an XL Lever dispenser, and the optional Gooseneck sink mixer. Both are finished in Matt Black.

Using the Plus range to supply hot water to the sink mixer saves customers additional costs through not requiring a hot water cylinder and also the added bonus of saving space — both important factors in office fit-outs.

On this installation a different challenge arose: the kitchen had low water pressure. The challenge presented would affect the sparkling and chilled functions of the tap. The low pressure of the building added complications due to the requirements of a good cold water flow to enhance the mixing of the Co2.

Images of the dispensed sparkling water show the Billi unit was able to overcome the low water pressure, and dispense not just good tasting sparkling water, but an exceptional glass of effervescent water.
