When it comes to creating better environments, Mammoth Insulation products have proven thermal and acoustic performance. Beyond functional properties, architects, building developers and owners are increasingly looking for safety verification and an understanding of the wider environmental impact of the businesses they deal with.
There are a range of environmental labelling options available to provide assurance of core performance including BRANZ appraisals and Environmental Choice, but as a business focused on energy efficiency, Mammoth has sought out even stronger ways to verify the safety of its products and demonstrate the sustainability focus of its business.
"We were the first polyester insulation manufacturer in the world to adopt the Declare labelling programme to certify our products as being Red List Free," says Tony Snushall of Mammoth Insulation. "We had a number of clients who were looking for that verification to support the inclusion of low/no VOC products in their developments and to pursue the Living Building Challenge."
Having ticked off performance and safety, InsulPro Manufacturing Ltd then became the first carboNZero certified insulation organisation in the world. "Only by measuring, monitoring and off-setting carbon emissions can we have confidence that our business activities are not impacting on the environments we depend upon," says Snushall. "While we are proud to be the only insulation company to have achieved this certification, participation in carboNZero also represents our acceptance of a challenge to continually improve our sustainability efforts."
By specifying NZ made Mammoth Insulation products, designers are assured of backing by an organisation that looks beyond the fundamentals to build a better environment.
