The fabric, craft and homewares retailer’s eye-catching stripes have been created with a randomised three-colour pattern realised with Kingspan’s vertically-mounted insulated Architectural Wall Panels.
The KS1000RW Trapezoidal Roof Panel was preferred over a traditional built-up roof for its fast installation and, along with specially-fabricated insulated gutters, completed a fully weathertight and airtight building envelope, delivering optimal insulation performance: more energy efficient, cheaper to run and producing less carbon dioxide.
Kingspan Insulated Panels are a one stop solution for meeting building thermal regulations and come in a range of sizes, finishes, colours and core thicknesses to meet most design and performance requirements. The 80mm (core thickness) Architectural Wall Panels used on the Spotlight Store deliver an R-value of R4.15 and, along with the 40mm Trapezoidal RW roof panels (R2.39) provide an optimised level of thermal and structural performance and enabled programme efficiencies that helped ensure the success of the build.
With a single element process for installation, Kingspan’s insulated panel systems are designed to work together — rather than built-up roofing systems where a number of components are sourced from multiple suppliers and manufacturers. Kingspan panels are quick to install, which is important for working around changeable weather where there might be only a short window for installation and also for health and safety concerns.
With new energy efficiency requirements coming into permanent effect in November 2022, Kingspan Insulated panels offer a simple warm roofing solution for meeting the increased thermal requirements. Being a single-piece solution, they are easy to specify and detail and provide a significantly faster installed solution than multi-layer solutions that may involve multiple suppliers' products. Panels are available in a wide range of core depths/R values, to provide suitable options for all climate zones.
