New Hidden Details for Balustrades Fixed to Waterproof Decks

Floating and waterproof decks have become the go-to for new builds and renovations, and Juralco's gutter brackets were specially designed for this purpose. The gutter bracket maintains the integrity of the waterproof deck by fixing the balustrade posts clear of the waterproofing membrane.

As part of the evolution of these waterproof decks, clients are also requesting that balustrade fixings are hidden away for a clean seamless finish. Some of the most experienced Juralco balustrade installers have helped Juralco to design a solution for this, coming up with an aluminium slat system fitted between the deck and the gutter, hiding the bracket and fixings for a clean and complete finished look.

Balustrade posts are fitted to the gutter brackets before installation and then secured to the deck, with propriety gutters fitted after the balustrade infill is in place. The gutter brackets and aluminium slats are powder coated to match the balustrade fixings and the propriety gutter system, which are available in popular colours to match the home's joinery and fittings.

Edge® Balustrade is suitable for deck and balcony barriers, stairways, handrails, pool fencing and matching pool or stairway gates

A choice of four handrails are available: round, rectangular, and a single or twin pocket Aerofoil style which can be incorporated as a top rail or as a standalone handrail. An interlinking rail, for 10mm semi frameless glass balustrades can be top mounted (on the post caps) or front mounted 100mm below the top edge, using a handrail bracket fixed to the face of the balustrade post. A semi frameless glass finish, without a handrail can be achieved using 13.2mm thick toughened laminated glass, although the use of the Edge slimline top protection cap is highly recommended to help prevent any discolouring of the interlayer.
