Saving energy means saving money — something all clients appreciate. Decreasing a home’s lighting, heating or cooling demands can be as simple as adding louvres over north-facing windows, which harness the sun’s warmth and light in an efficient way.
However, it can be challenging balancing demands for light and shade which differ through the changing seasons, along with not blocking views, all whilst minimising exposure to the harsh NZ sun. Juralco’s Louvrelite is a ready-made solution designed to overcome these challenges, with an adjustable louvre screening system that can be adapted to work with the sun and not against it, based on local conditions.
Louvrelite works in partnership with other passive design factors such as location, orientation, layout, window size and placement, which are outlined in the specification manual. Vertical mounting frames have been designed with built-in flexibility to get the exact angle needed for local conditions. Not only are the louvre blade brackets adjustable, but so is the spacing on the frame so the exact design parameters can be easily met.
Shade and privacy panels in the Louvrelite range are a natural extension of these good design principles — where spaces benefit from natural light, ventilation and even temperatures. With slat or louvre infills, the panels let in light and air whilst buffering the harsh direct sun, all on a roller system so it can be moved around as and when it’s needed.
