Working with HomePlus Exteriors, the Edge balustrade system was chosen for its flexibility to accommodate baluster and glass balustrades, handrails, louvre privacy screens and an entranceway canopy.
Across the site, balustrades were finished with a rectangular handrail and split rail detail for consistency. Front entrance stairwells were all fitted with Edge 17mm baluster balustrades and front and back decks used alternate 17mm baluster infill and fully framed toughened glass balustrades. Additionally, back deck balustrades were fitted on Edge balustrade gutter brackets to maintain the integrity of waterproof decks.
For maximum consistency, the Edge balustrade system was also utilised for the deck privacy screens and even the front door canopy. Privacy screens used Edge balustrade extrusions for the frame and modern 120mm louvres placed vertically for the infill. Glass canopies for the entranceway used specially designed angled brackets to fix the Edge balustrade posts and infill horizontally over the doorway. These specially engineered products were created for this project in conjunction with the manufacturer, designer and HomePlus group for a custom design solution.
An attractive, consistent finish for the whole development was further enhanced with the clever use of a palette of modern colours. Combinations of the four powder coat colours — Titania, Electric Cow, Appliance White and Mid Grey were carefully planned out for a really interesting and ultimately cohesive overall look.
