EWPAA-certified J–Ply plywood is sourced from 100% legal forests with top environmental credentials and the lowest emissions. J-Ply has been meeting the Super E0 emission standards for years and its certification has recently been upgraded to reflect that. It is now certified to the latest AS/NZS 2269: 2012 and meets the JAS-ANZ specifications for emissions.
Sustainable practices are important to NZ Wood's business. Its chain of custody certification by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and PEFC shows that it can follow its products from the soil where the trees are grown, through the manufacturing process to your door. The company ensures that its plywood and engineered timber products are sourced from sustainably managed forests.
NZ Wood is proudly New Zealand owned and operated and where possible the company buys from local sources, supporting the Buy NZ Made mark. Its J-Ply and Nelson Pine LVL suppliers are independently audited by the Engineered Wood Products Association of Australasia (EWPPA).
Another of the I-Built products is the LP Solid Start I-Beam. The LP I-Beam is not only sourced from sustainable forests, certified to the SFI chain-of-custody standard, but it utilises wood fibre efficiently with an OSB web and a high stiffness Douglas Fir LVL flange. The “I” beam profile provides a lightweight beam that is very stiff, allowing for increased joist spacing and better use of resources.
I-Built Building Solutions are made from well-managed forests and designed for efficient use of resources to minimise impact on the environment.
