Win a Trip to EuroCucina with Hettich

Leading hardware supplier Hettich has announced the opportunity for two New Zealand designers to win a trip to global design fair EuroCucina in April 2024 valued at $10,000.

As part of iSalone del Mobile, EuroCucina has long been recognised as the global reference for kitchen designs. Flanked by FTK Technology for the Kitchen and the International Bathroom Exhibition, the inspiration for design growth for New Zealand’s designers is enormous. Stay ahead of the industry by experiencing next season’s European-led design trends, and be among the first to see FurnSpin in real-life interiors.

Hettich is giving away two spaces on the industry tour group it is hosting at EuroCucina in 2024 as a way of recognising the significance of the fair for new interior design ideas, and the challenge the distance poses for New Zealand’s designers.

“We’re passionate about the talent of New Zealand designers, and it has been proven that we punch above our weight on the global stage,” says Hettich New Zealand’s Managing Director Rob Deed.

“We are fortunate to be able to take a tour group of customers and designers to experience EuroCucina in 2024, but we would love to see as many New Zealanders there as possible. These two placements are a further contribution to bringing new design ideas to our design industry.”

A space is available for one designer from each of the following categories: Emerging Designer, for designers with less than five years’ experience consulting directly with customers in a design capacity, and Specifier, open to any designer who has specified a Hettich product in the 12 months preceding the completion of the competition.

On the two placements, Rob adds, “For those early on in their careers, EuroCucina is not as likely to be something they get to experience. In our first giveaway, we wanted to give someone new an extra boost in their career.”

“The specifier space is an acknowledgement that there are so many designers who deserve to have this experience. Ideally, we would take a huge number of people, but it is just not feasible. At least in this way we can create an equal opportunity for someone.”

The tour starts in Bad Oeynhausen, a picturesque country town in Germany, before travelling to Milan to soak up the atmosphere and inspiration of iSalone in Italy. In between guests will have the chance to visit tourist hot spot Lake Como.

Between these locations, tour guests will experience the cutting-art automation and sustainability progress of Hettich’s factories, tour the exhibits of the world’s first FurnSpin cabinetmakers, all the while soaking up the inspiration of new experiences, great company and stand out design.

To be eligible for the competition, designers must submit a project design (already built or still to come) from within the past 12 months. A straightforward entry form on the website will ask for further information, including a product specification and other visual representations of the design — these could be renders, plans, or images, whichever this project has available for you!

The competition closes at midnight January 31st, 2024.
