Add life and colour to exterior timber decks and furniture while still allowing the beauty of the natural grain to show through with the Resene Woodcare range. Resene Woodsman Decking Stain is available in a wide range of colours, including Resene CoolColour, which is designed to reflect more heat than a standard colour would.

Or if you prefer the kwila-look finish, choose Resene Kwila Timber Stain or for an oiled look, Resene Furniture and Decking Oil or Resene Woodsman Wood Oil Stain.  Tired wooden furniture can be rejuvenated quickly and easily with Resene Timber and Furniture Gel, available in a range of four colours to suit your project.  It’s a very thick product which ensures a splatter-free application. 

If using stained weatherboards on a project, opt for Resene Waterborne Woodsman CoolColour, which will help to reflect more heat than the normal version of the colour, which will reduce heat build up and stress on the surface.

Resene Waterborne Woodsman is an exterior wood stain designed to colour timber, while still allowing the natural grain of the timber to show through.  With 38 exterior wood stain colours in traditional, limed and bright hues, you can choose from Totem Pole red, Embers orange, Rangitoto green or perhaps the more traditional Cedar wood finish.

Stains are transparent, so the final finish colour will depend on the nature of the timber being stained. Stains applied to light woods will appear much stronger and brighter in colour than stains applied to dark wood.  It’s best to test the colour on a representative piece of wood using Resene Waterborne Woodsman testpots to make sure it looks just right before the project starts.

As well as outdoor vertical surfaces and decks, remember to think about other trafficable areas.  Rejuvenate faded pavers with Resene Concrete Stain, or fix a safety hazard by coating a slippery path with Resene Non-Skid Deck & Path to help provide more grip on the surface reducing the risk of slipping.
