Fenta Ceiling Tiles Reflect the High Standards at Hollywood Bakery

Food prep areas and commercial kitchens, can pose some unique challenges for architects and specifiers. They’re susceptible to moisture and grease, often have little or no natural light, and the use of fire-resistant materials is paramount.

James Burton, Project Manager for Hollywood Bakery Highbrook Drive, was challenged with creating a food preparation space that was functional and hygienic yet still modern and light.  Reflective, easy to clean and with a fire rating of 1-S, Fenta Ceiling Tiles more than met his requirements;

“Most of the time in food processing areas, there is little natural light,” says Burton. “We chose the Fenta Ceiling Tile in the food prep areas of Hollywood Bakery because it is glossy and reflective. Usually the lighting in these areas is fluorescent as well, so the reflective surface can really make a difference.”

“The tile also needed to be easy to clean, as we require the highest level of hygiene in our food preparation areas,” says Burton.

Fenta Ceiling Tiles are manufactured from a 4mm-thick James Hardie Hardiflex base tile coated with a UV-cured finish and are specifically designed for interior ceiling linings.  In particular, the non-porous surface makes them perfect for areas that are frequently cleaned, such as freezing areas, commercial kitchens, butcher shops, fish processing areas, and sports changing areas.

Fenta Ceiling Tiles are designed for a suspended two-way ceiling grid in a 1200 x 600m module.
