PlyPlay™
Description

PlyPlay™ is a prefinished, UV-coated plywood made from sustainably grown plantation pine and birch. Panels with a finish quality and durability that can be achieved only in a controlled factory environment.

Prefinished colour; PlyPlay comes in three different colours — Naturally Naked, Blonde Ambition and Double Trouble — that accentuate the warmth of the timber. Finished with a smooth satin surface, each colour has a delicate pearl sheen, based on mineral mica, to accentuate the natural warmth of the timber.

Key Features
  • Speed on site — Prefinished for faster installation: Based on plywood sheets, PlyPlay’s factory-coated, modular panels simplify the construction process. Fewer trades needed on site, means a compressed time frame when lining an interior.
  • Scratch resistant — UV-coated for greater durability: PlyPlay features a durable surface coating, which uses ultraviolet light to cure the paint — a photochemical process that binds the pigments. UV-cured paints are tougher than conventional coatings, offering improved resistance to impact, scratch and general wear. The PlyPlay surface will last longer than most architectural paint systems, so requires less maintenance over its lifetime.
  • Environmental — VOC-free paint: The factory-based UV-curing technology uses paints that are free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Coatings are instantly dried on the UV line, with no subsequent VOC emissions, resulting in cleaner air than in conventional surface-coating processes.
  • Affordable — timber at a better price point: PlyPlay brings the grain and character of timber to walls and ceilings at a more affordable price than solid timber. Panels are also faster to install — one large room can be completed within a day.
  • Finishes — PlyPlay comes in three different colours. Finished with a smooth satin surface, each colour has a delicate pearl sheen, based on mineral mica, to accentuate the natural warmth of the timber.

Limitations on Use

PlyPlay is a low-formaldehyde plywood designed for wall and ceiling lining, joinery and furniture in residential and commercial applications, excluding high-humidity situations.

Being a natural product, PlyPlay is subject to some variations in moisture content, colour and grain, with the occasional imperfection. To minimise batch-to-batch variation, it is recommended to order all product required in one job order. Natural wood colours change over time and are affected by sunlight exposure. Samples are indicative only.
