“With shovel-ready infrastructure projects in the region, as well as a significant repaints segment, there is a huge opportunity for Dulux in terms of extending our footprint,” says Alison Stankovich, National Trade Distribution Manager. The store will be working in partnership with Guthrie Bowron Paraparaumu, which is also a local Dulux trade depot, in supplying requirements for the region.
Stankovich says the new store is a testament of Dulux’s commitment to investing in and supporting local communities. “The future of Kāpiti is very exciting given key infrastructure projects such as the Kapiti Expressway and Transmission Gully.” The store, which officially opened on 5th August, is a Paint & Textures hub where they offer a broader range of products to cater to various types of projects.
“We are a one-stop-shop that delivers a great customer experience. For us, it’s not just about buying a can of paint.” At the same time, the store also welcomes homeowners that may be looking for colour inspiration and advice. The store manager, Jon Carson and team member Jo Oldfield are both Kāpiti Coast locals with extensive paint experience, so they can really offer sound painting advice.
The new Kāpiti Dulux Paint & Textures Centre at Te Roto Drive has over 500 square metres of showroom space and provides plenty of carparking for busy tradespeople. This new store carries all Dulux Premium and Professional brands, Dulux AcraTex Architectural Coatings, Porter’s Paints, Dulux Avista, as well as the Cabot’s, Intergrain, Dryden Woodcare ranges, and Fireshield Intumescent Coatings. They also stock a full range of Dulux branded and Rota Cota paint accessories, as well as Selleys, 3M products, Graco and Wagner spray equipment.
Dulux distributes its portfolio of products through 76 trade stores throughout the country. Dulux proudly manufactures in Gracefield, Wellington and has done so for over 80 years.
