New door hardware from CS For Doors is intended to provide an alternative to the more commercial style of the CL100 LaviLock and be suitable for projects where hardware from the CL400 range is fitted or when a different finish is required.
The CaviLock range from CS For Doors includes sliding door hardware suitable for a variety of bathroom applications. The widely used CL100 LaviLock is a code compliant commercial-grade disabled toilet access lock for sliding toilet doors.
For situations where compliance is not required, but vacant/in use indication is desired, the popular CL400 Magnetic is available in a flush version with green/red indication. CS For Doors is planning to expand the CL400 Magnetic hardware range with an accessible model which is currently in the design phase. It will match the functionality of the existing CL400 hardware, but with a protruding handle to enable accessibility for users with limited mobility or for use in bathroom facilities.
Utilising the patented magnetic mechanism of the CL400 Magnetic, the new addition to the range will provide flexibility for building owners. It will use the same door cutout and striker and can be retrofitted over existing CL400 flush handles. This will be especially beneficial in large projects where there may be a future requirement to convert door hardware to accessible options.
Preliminary specifications are yet to be confirmed. Passage and Privacy options and a limited number of finishes will be available. CS For Doors would like to hear feedback from designers on the proposed new design. To give feedback, email [email protected] or phone 09 276 0800.
