Cavity Sliders Create Space in Apartments

Cavity sliders are an obvious choice to eliminate wasted floor and wall space and these days, thanks to CS Detail Options, they are much more than a functional choice.

A corner-meeting cavity slider unit can be included in the design to close off a bedroom or study space in the corner of a room. The doors can be increased to full height with CS Full-Height detail to give the appearance of the ceiling running continuously from one room to another and create a more spacious feel when the doors are open. Add in a Square Stop Detail and when the doors are open you will hardly know they exist. Close the doors to create privacy or to save on heating and cooling costs.

For very large openings, CS OvertakingDoors have an extra-thick cavity pocket, enabling a series of up to five doors to stack side by side inside the cavity pocket. These units make great room dividers, maximising the potential size of the door opening. The patented cavity frame is fully tested and guaranteed, so you can be sure of a smooth-running, long-lasting system.

Construction costs per square metre are rising, so consider cavity sliders for all your internal doorways and make the most of that valuable space. You can also now hang TVs and other items easily off the side of the pocket using components of the fully tested CS Bracewall system – ask the CS specification team for more help on this when designing your next apartment.
