Start saving time and increasing efficiencies with precise specifications of doors and door hardware. With the introduction of Pacific Door Systems into the ASSA ABLOY Group, Openings Studio has taken on a whole new level of door opening specification accuracy and convenience.

Not only can Openings Studio be used as a collaborative tool for architects wanting a comprehensive door hardware specification, but it can now offer Pacific Door Systems, Door Types and Revit Door Specifications to complement door and building requirements.

Utilising the Revit Plug-In, Openings Studio enables two-way communication of the Revit Project Information between ASSA ABLOY and the architect. This enables ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions to accurately specify door hardware, relative to each door on the project. This door hardware information can be utilised back in the Revit Model (BIM) through the export to Revit option within Openings Studio. In addition, the architect has access to many reports, including a door by door schedule, hardware summary, images, variation reports and others.

To assist the architect, ASSA ABLOY has included the Pacific Door Systems door information within the Openings Studio Door Type Creator. Users can select a door type they require such as a Fire Door and can drill down to specific requirements they need within the building, such as a -/60/30 rating. The Pacific Door Systems VP60A fits this criteria, and can now be incorporated into the door and hardware specification.

Other options for doors are also available, including acoustic, hospital, custodial and high-security doors such as the Armashield Blast Door Set.

Many of these doors can also be utilised within Revit, with the option to load them into the architect’s projects as Revit Door Families. In Openings Studio, select the doors wanted, export to Revit, and away you go.
