Trying to introduce acoustic treatments into these areas where none have been allowed for creates its own set of problems, such was the case in the Harbour City Shopping Mall in Wellington.

The available space for acoustic treatment was minimal and therefore Asona had to be a bit creative in how to treat the reverberation issues within the central atrium area of the shopping mall.

The solution was to utilise the side panels of the aerial walkway, the thickness of the exposed floor levels themselves and around the top of the atrium ceiling area. Over 136 panels of Asona Triton Cloud panels faced in crisp white Sonatex were custom measured and built to fit neatly into the existing structure providing discrete broad-band absorption to reduce reverberation.

Asona Triton Cloud Panel is a proprietary edge-wrapped glass fibre, high sound absorbing acoustic panel faced with either Sonatex glass mat acoustic facing, woven glass fabric or wrapped in standard fabric. It is designed as a free floating or direct fixed ceiling and wall panel and is ideal for call centres, offices, corridors, schools, halls, shopping malls and atriums.
