Asona's New Acoustic Mesh Ceiling Panel Adds Texture

Polyfon Mesh provides the opportunity to incorporate pattern and texture into ceilings without overwhelming the interior. Originally developed from a client's need to find an alternative to conventional metal mesh, Polyfon Mesh is a game changer in the refurbishment of existing grid and tile ceilings.

Polyfon Mesh is manufactured in New Zealand from a proprietary lightweight composite board perforated to provide a mesh ceiling effect. The panels provide a creative mask to the plenum which remains open to air circulation and backlighting options. Polyfon Mesh is ideal for deconstructed corporate interiors, retail complexes, airports, showrooms and other large volume public spaces.

For the Online Republic office refurbishment, Jacquette Barrington of Stack Interiors selected locally made Polyfon Mesh when other imported metal products had unacceptably long lead times. The architect was impressed with the product's performance, its light weight and the look and feel of the panel. The Polyfon Mesh ceiling panels were set into an existing white grid adding contrast and texture to the interior design.

Polyfon Mesh comes in two perforation options: Diamond and Hexagon.
