Carpet Tiles Create Seamless Broadloom Appearance

There are times when a geometric carpet tile is ideal — in modern education or corporate spaces, for example. And there are times when a carpet tile is needed, but a broadloom look is preferred.

For Rydges hotel restaurant and bar, the walnut-coloured timbers and leather furniture called for a classic broadloom look, but with the advantages offered by tiles — simple to install, easy to maintain and hard-wearing. Rydges General Manager David Capper has selected a two-tone grey carpet tile from the Ceramic range by the French company Tecsom, imported by Advance.

The structured pile has depth and texture to hide the joints and give it a seamless broadloom appearance. This heavy-duty commercial polyamide carpet tile can withstand high foot traffic, so in addition to a high-quality appearance, the carpet will perform well over time in a demanding hospitality venue.

"Tecsom held a number of attractions," notes David. "You can’t see the joins, and it has a good texture and colour selection. The tiles were quick and easy to install, causing minimal disruption to the restaurant, and have good fire and acoustic ratings. We are very happy with the product."
