Viking Halley-P NO FLAME is a self-adhered two-layer membrane system — the newest member to Viking Roofspec's bituminous membrane category.
Manufactured by General Membrane sPA who produce Viking's torch-on membranes, the Halley-P NO FLAME employs a special bitumen and adhesive resin mixture that allows the membrane layers to be installed without the use of a propane gas torch. Halley-P NO FLAME is a hybrid of two compounds: a plasticised APP bitumen mixed with a rubberised SBS one. The 'NO FLAME' aspect comes from the lower surface and the selvedge edges consisting of an elastomeric pressure-sensitive adhesive.
This membrane system's quality is highlighted by two indicators: its low temperature flexibility (-25°C) and the adhesive’s compatibility to a wide range of substrates. The adhesive’s properties facilitate installation in a wide range of climatic conditions.
Viking Halley-P NO FLAME membrane is suitable for low-slope roofs (flat or curved), gutters and parapets, waterproofing beneath a floating deck, inland and coastal conditions, commercial and residential buildings.
This system has been assessed as a roof waterproofing membrane on buildings within the following scope:
Viking Halley-P has also been assessed for use as a roof waterproofing membrane on buildings within the following scope:
Viking Halley-P NO FLAME has been designed to be installed in any climate zone due to its hybrid blend of APP and SBS modified bitumen compounds.
The system must be installed by a Viking Roofspec Trained and Approved Installer.
For over 50 years, Viking Roofspec have supplied roofing and waterproofing materials, and combining leading-edge function with design flair to keep water out — for good.
