MLR - Roof Mounted Smoke Ventilators
Description

Ventuer Mercor MLR louvred smoke ventilators are used in natural smoke and exhaust ventilations systems, and are ideally suited to warehouse and industrial buildings where natural ventilation might also be required.

Key Features

The Ventuer MERCOR MLR smoke vents have been developed as a reliable, critical component of a natural smoke exhaust system. They effectively transfer smoke, combustion gases and heat energy to the outside of the building, creating a smoke free escape route inside the building to minimise any injury. Vent opening time is a maximum of 60 seconds.

These roof mounted vents are particularly suited to warehouse and industrial buildings, and are available in a wide range of sizes and upstands. All come with aerodynamic wind shields for impressive weather resistance which makes them suitable for use in exposed areas where high winds can be expected. The upper part of the base is shaped to accelerate water run-off, making the MERCOR MLR vents also suitable for areas of frequent, heavy rain.

The low-energy use design requires minimal power during the open cycle and the mineral wool used in the base provides thermal insulation for heat retention when the warehouse/building requires mechanical heating, making the vents sustainability positive. Fully certified to EN 12101-2.

Limitations on Use

Installation of MERCOR-MLR

Roof vents need to be supported by the roof structure components, such as purlins, trimmers, metal decking, curbs, etc. If the roof pitch is less than 45° the vent should be oriented with the louver blades running perpendicular to the roof ridge and for greater pitches the louver blades should preferably run parallel to the roof ridge (tilt up to open configuration).

Ventüer designs and supplies engineered natural and mechanical ventilation products and systems for commercial, industrial and high-density residential construction projects.
