Roll Panel Vent – G502
Description

The VENT Roll Panel Vent is designed to maintain a continuous 25mm air gap between the underside of the roofing membrane or sarking board and loft insulation at the eaves, providing a consistent flow of air into the roof space.

The G502 castellated profile is laid across the top of the roof trusses/rafters parallel with the eaves level and is suitable for both new build and roof renovation projects. The extra width of the panel allows for better coverage when low pitch and deep insulation details are encountered.

This product should be used in conjunction with other soffit/fascia vents to provide a complete roof ventilation system.

Key Features
  • Ensures unimpeded air flow through the eaves into the roof cavity
  • Protects the insulation from moisture transfer and wind movement
  • Acts as a wind barrier
  • Quick and easy installation

In line with BRANZ appraisals for any insulation:

  • Prevents moisture transfer from roofing underlay to insulation
  • Provides a 50mm gap between roofing underlay and insulation
Scope of Use

Suitable for use in new within the following scope:

  • Up to 10m in height, and
  • With a risk score of less than 20, when evaluated against the E2/AS1 risk matrix, and
  • In wind zones up to extra high as defined in NZS 3604:2011, and
  • In all corrosion zones as defined in NZS3604:2011
Limitations on Use

The VENT Roll Panel Vent can only be used on new build projects.

As a moisture or wind barrier the VENT Roll Panel Vent can be used in isolation. However, to achieve the function of allowing airflow through the vent, the vent must be used in conjunction with VENT Over Fascia Vents (G1200N or G2500N) or VENT Circular Soffit Vents (G700).
