Render Brick Construction
Description

Sto Plaster Systems – StoArmat Miral or StoMiral – are engineered to provide optimal protection and finish for all render brick construction. Installations are carried out by a Sto Registered Licensed Building Practitioner with the added protection of a 15 or 20 year Sto System Warranty and 5 year renewable Workmanship Warranty plus Maintenance Schedule.

StoMiral Plaster System:

The StoMiral Plaster System is a BRANZ appraised, un-reinforced solid plaster finishing system, consisting of a lightweight mineral leveled basecoat, sealed with StoPlex W primer and finished with Stolit K finishing render and Sto facade paint to waterproof and complete the system.

StoArmat Miral Plaster System:

StoArmat Miral is a BRANZ appraised plaster system. The render brick is basecoated and levelled with LevelLite to provide a thick solid plaster base for additional reinforcement, StoArmat plaster plus StoMesh.

Scope of Use

The StoArmat Miral Plaster System on Render Brick has been appraised as a solid plaster systems for buildings within the following scope:

  • Up to 3 storeys, with a maximum height from ground to eaves of 10 m.
  • Designed and constructed in accordance with the  scope limitations of NZS 3604, NZS 4210 and NZS 4229 
  • For Supporting structures designed and constructed in accordance with the NZBC. 
  • Suitable for use in all Wind Zones of NZS 3604 up to, and including, ‘Extra High’.   

The StoArmat Miral Plaster System has also been appraised for bond, durability and weather tightness.

Must only be applied on vertical surfaces except for sills, concrete reinforced parapets and concrete reinforced balustrades. For use with aluminium window and door joinery that is installed with vertical jambs and horizontal heads and sills.

Statement of Building Code Compliance

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

  • Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(b), B2.3.1(c)
  • Clause E2 External moisture: Performance E2.3.2
  • Clause F2 Hazardous building materials: Performance F2.3.1

Notes: The StoArmat Miral Plaster Systems meet the performance requirements of NZBC Clause B2.3.1 (b), 15 years for the plaster finishes, and the performance requirements of NZBC Clause B2.3.1 (c), 5 years for the exterior paint system.
