Description

Porter's Liquid Iron and Instant Rust create an authentic rusted iron effect on any paintable surface. Liquid Iron is black, just like cast iron, which will then develop a real rust and patination when activated with Instant Rust, for a weatherbeaten, rusted finish.

Scope of Use

Porter's Liquid Iron and Instant Rust can be used in interior and exterior applications. Can be applied to most suitably prepared plasterboard, plaster, wood, plastic, metal, paper mache, masonry and previously painted surfaces.

Apply by brush only.

Drying times: 2hrs touch dry. 12hrs between coats. Apply Instant Rust once second coat is touch dry.

Limitations on Use

Porter's Liquid Iron and Instant Rust will continue to rust after initial application. Rust stains (caused by run-off) may appear on adjacent surfaces in exterior applications. This can be prevented by applying Porter's Instant Rust Clear Sealer. Allow Liquid Iron and Instant Rust to dry for minimum 48hrs prior to application of sealer.
