Description

Dulux Rust Effect is an interior/exterior effect paint that provides an authentic rusted iron finish. Dulux Rust Effect Base Paint must be used with Dulux Rust Effect Solution to achieve the Rust effect.

Scope of Use

Dulux Design Rust Effect can be used on feature walls in rooms such as living, dining and outdoor rooms.
Suitable for use on doors and outdoor accessories.
Can be applied to paper faced plasterboard, cement and brick

Limitations on Use

Not suitable for high wear situations
Not suitable for interior wet areas or surfaces with varying porosity
Thinning of Dulux Design Rust Effect is not recommended
Do not apply in high humidity
On a day of around 25ºC the paint finish will be touch dry in 2 hours and ready for re-coat in 12 hours; in cooler or humid conditions allow longer drying times
Temperature must be above 10ºC and below 30ºC during application and drying
Avoid exposure to rain and condensation for 48 hours after final coat is applied
Dulux Design Rust Effect is a chemical reaction. Individual results may vary due to film thickness, methods used, time elapsed, ambient temperatures substrate etc. Dulux Design Rust effect paint will continue to rust after initial application
On exterior surfaces rust stains (caused by rain run-off) may appear on adjacent surfaces such as paving. To prevent these stains we recommend finishing with one coat of Berger Jet Dry Stone & Paving Sealer in Natural finish mixed with water at a 1:1 ratio. The clear coat may increase sheen level and darken the effect

Rust Solution: Contains1-<10% Ammonium Chloride; 1-<10% Copper Salts
